God had given Adam and Eve two children named Cain and Abel, and as these children grew up, Cain became a farmer and Abel became a shepherd. And it came to pass that these two men brought offerings to God: Abel offered the firstborn of his flock and their fat, and Cain offered the fruit of the ground. However, while God accepted Abel’s offering, He did not accept Cain and his offering. Why then did God accept Abel’s offering but reject Cain’s offering?
